Never considered myself a detective
…but this whole tumblr thing and trying to figure out who people are has been quite an interesting experience.
Take for example someone starting to follow you, with no clues given in either blog name or photo as to who they are - do you know this person in real life?
What ensues is a fun game of detective work to cruise through their posts, photos, songs etc for any reference to outside lives. I think I’m getting good at it, and it makes me feel a bit like Nancy Drew crossed with a stalker. Which I think it is a pretty good mix.
I also like comparing the personalities that people put across in this pyseudo-anonymous forum as compared to their facebook profiles which are for the most part highly public. Interesting.
